The process is rather simple and natural. A pond or small lake is devoid of a source of moving water and becomes stagnate. Decomposing plant matter begins to suspend in the water and then to settle on the bottom of the water. Sphagnum moss begins to creep inward from the shoreline until the water is completely overwhelmed. In time, the once living lake surrenders to terrestrialization.

There stood Adam and Eve. Naked and hiding. Their covering of fig leaves and hiding in the bushes could not keep them from the discovery of the Almighty Creator. He came to them as usual and found them not at the meeting place. Though God knew what had happened and where they were, He called to them and asked where they were. The game was up. Adam and Eve knew they were doomed.
(More)99.5 % of the difficulties which occur in the church are a result of people who sin (the other .5% is caused by computers and mechanical failures).
(More)There is an insidious enemy that lurks about the sacred pews and hallowed halls of the church. It is an enemy that is destructive and divisive. It is an enemy that lurks in the open as comfortably as it does in the shadow. It is the Destroyer of relationships. It is the one, virtually unstoppable crusader against unity and fellowship in the church.
(More)Lately, I’ve been dissatisfied with “Church As Usual.” I’ve watched over the years as people come to church to do the “church thing” and rush out to make sure they get a good table or don’t have to wait too long in line at their favorite restaurant. I’ve seen lifeless worship – even participating in it. I’ve seen the boredom on faces as the pastor delivers a message. I’ve listened to hundreds of dull, lifeless messages – even delivering some. I’ve also seen the unresponsiveness of the cold heart. I’ve seen unimaginable cruelty among Christians. I’ve seen power struggles, heard lies, observed betrayals, watched lives crushed by harsh words and unforgiveness, and lived through the horrors of “godly” Christian people. In the end, I’ve become disenchanted with “Church As Usual.”
(More)With what shall I come to the LORD and bow myself before the God on high? Shall I come to Him with burnt offerings, with yearling calves? Does teh LORD take delight in thousands of rams, in ten thousand rivers of oil? shall I present my firstborn for my rebellious acts, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

I love to read books and watch movies like The Lord of the Rings. The good guys fight evil against incredible odds and, coming to the very brink of destruction, they win the battle.

Acts 16:25
As the intensity of the Crucible fades to memory the lessons that have been learned remain to be sorted and taken to heart. Over the last three weeks I have been impressed with one amazing concept that is the imperative of every Christian.

I was and currently am listening to the song by Gordon Mote “Don’t Let Me Miss the Glory.” I believe that this is one of those songs that comes along once in a while that truly takes the listener to the heart of true worship.
